Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS)

Argen has developed advanced GC/MS techniques that are unmatched in the rubber/polymer and oil & gas industries.  We have Ph.D. analytical chemists with decades of experience in rubber compounding and polymer analysis.  This powerful combination allows us to get our customers answers to a multitude of questions.

Pyrolysis GC/MS

  • Sample Requirements:  < 1 milligram of solid or liquid
  • Programmable Temperature Range: ambient to 1,200°C
  • Heating Rate: 0.01°C/ms to 20.0°C/ms

Thermal Desorption GC/MS

  • Sample Requirements:  2-30 milligram of solid or liquid
  • Programmable Temperature Range: ambient to 395°C
  • Liquid Nitrogen Cryo-Trap
  • Adsorbent Cartridge Capability

Headspace GC/MS

  • Sample Requirements:  variable size, solid or liquid
  • Injection: gas-tight syringe
  • Mass Spectral Deconvolution of Volatiles

GC/MS of Liquids

  • Sample Requirements:  typically 1 microliter sample
  • Mass Spectral Deconvolution and Identification of Components
